Lucy’s Story
Lucy, an entrepreneur with a heart of gold and a smile that could light up any room, walked into our office, and we knew from the moment we met her that she was someone special. Her infectious laughter and warm demeanor had a way of instantly putting everyone at ease, and we couldn't help but feel drawn to her positive energy. Working with someone like Lucy is a true pleasure, and we found ourselves eager to go above and beyond to help her achieve the smile she deserved.
As we sat down with Lucy, she shared her story with us, revealing the toll that her tireless work ethic had taken on her smile. The stress of building her business had begun to manifest in ways she couldn't ignore – her teeth were gradually getting shorter, darker, and more worn down. It was as if her smile was bearing the brunt of her entrepreneurial journey, and she knew it was time to take action.
Lucy's concerns didn't stop there. She also pointed out that her smile had taken on a gummy appearance, and her back teeth seemed to be disappearing from view. These issues, we explained, were likely the result of clenching forces that not only ground down her teeth but also caused them to lean inwards towards her tongue. It was a double whammy of smile deterioration, and we knew we had to tackle it head-on.
To give Lucy the stunning smile she deserved, we devised a multi-pronged approach that would address all of her concerns. The first phase of her transformation involved Invisalign, a cutting-edge orthodontic treatment that would allow us to reposition her teeth, bringing them closer to their ideal placement. We knew that restoring her teeth was inevitable, but by improving their positions first, we could achieve the most dramatic and impactful results.
For about eight months, Lucy diligently wore her Invisalign aligners, watching with excitement as her teeth gradually shifted into place. Once we had achieved the desired tooth positioning, we moved on to the next phase of her makeover – reshaping her gum line. By slightly repositioning her upper gums higher, we were able to create a more balanced and less gummy appearance, enhancing the overall aesthetics of her smile.
The final phase of Lucy's transformation was the real showstopper – porcelain reconstructions. By rebuilding her back teeth and front teeth with longer, taller porcelain crowns, we were able to vertically enhance her smile, creating a more youthful and proportionate appearance that complemented her facial features perfectly. The change was remarkable, and we couldn't wait to see Lucy's reaction.
